Our Messages

Hebrews 4:14-5:10

The Levitical priesthood had certain requirements for those who were to be high priest. They had to be like the people they represent so they could sympathize what they were going through. They also had to be chosen by God. Today we see that Jesus fulfills the requirements to be high priest, doing so in greater way than the line of priests from Aaron on.

Will the Son of Man Find Faith on the Earth?

We are living in Faith testing times and Pastor Danny Thornton will be bringing a message how God made a way for us to receive the GodStrength we need for today and for the future. It takes a hearing ear and courage to put feet to our faith to live a vibrant Christian Life.

Hebrews 4:1-13

In chapter 3, the author quotes from Psalm 95 as he begins to discuss God’s rest. We saw the Israelites did not enter God’s rest as a result of their unbelief. But, in chapter 4 we see that God’s rest is still available today for those who believe.

Hebrews 3:1-19

In Chapter 3 the author shows Jesus as superior to Moses and proceeds to warn us against "an evil heart of unbelief." We are to hold onto our confidence in Jesus.

Hebrews 2:1-18

The Author of Hebrews continues illustrating that Jesus is superior to Angels, even though for a little while, He was made lower than Angels in order to be perfected as the founder of our salvation. And as a result, He is a faithful and merciful High Priest who can identify with our weaknesses.

Hebrews 1:1-14

The book of Hebrews has a lot of unknowns. Modern scholars are undecided on who wrote it, who it was written to, or even what caused the author to write it. However, what is known is the content is remarkable and of great benefit to believers today. In this first chapter, the author makes clear the supremacy of Christ.

The Bread of Life

What seems to be a strange dialog between Jesus and a large group who wanted to make Him king ends with most of them quitting the path to eternal life! The key to understanding this verbal exchange is realizing that certain ideas are metaphors and in fact point to the cross.

His Workmanship

It is an incredible thing to be created God and considered His masterpiece. We are His workmanship in Christ, and as a result, we need to make sure we think about ourselves as such.

There Is A Cost

There is a cost to serving Jesus. Being a disciple requires discipline and sacrifice. Salvation is about meeting Jesus at the cross and trusting him, but being a disciple is about being willing to bear your cross and follow Him.

Do You Have Faith?

Jesus is able to do what is naturally impossible. Are we able to have patience and let the Holy Spirit lead us? The results are a combination of God's time and our believing.

Obedience

Here in America, Obedience is kind of a taboo word. We are taught to be our own man or woman and submitting to anyone is a sign of weakness. But today we look at obedience from a biblical perspective. Our obedience to God and our leaders is the difference between and effective, ordered local church and a chaotic one. Our obedience will lead to the saving of our own lives and the lives of others.

Knowing Who You Are

Most people identify themselves with what they do for a living. They are a cook or carpenter. But Christians are not so because of what the do. It is actually the opposite. We understand who we are and "do" accordingly. But to "do" accordingly, we have to know who we are.
