Paul is dealing with what appears to be a matter of conscience for believers who have different ideas concerning diet. The bottom line is that we should be careful not to judge others, as the first half of the chapter states, and, in this half of the chapter, we are instructed to avoid causing another believer to stumble. Our duty is to walk in love, live in peace and build one another up in our life of faith.
