1 Corinthians 7:17-35
Joseph Kobel
Paul lays down a principle that cuts through a lot of the Corinthians' anxious questions: bloom where you're planted. Whether you're Jewish or Gentile, slave or free, married or single — God called you right where you are, so don't assume you need to change your circumstances to be fully devoted to him. He makes a genuine case for the gift of singleness, not as a lesser calling but as a freedom that allows undivided attention to the Lord. His goal isn't to restrict their lives — it's to help them live fully for God in whatever lane they're in.
